D.L. Hughley says that Mo’Nique is a “liar’” following her recent interview with Shannon Sharpe on his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.
“Every time I see Mo’Nique these days, she’s doing some greasy ass video with her and her daddy complaining about something or working out,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.
During the interview, Mo’Nique claimed her beef with Hughley began over a segment on his radio show where, despite his absence, his co-hosts asked her to play “Would You Rather” and posed personal questions about her husband.
Mo’Nique was upset by the segment and phoned Hughley to share her frustration, but Hughley claims he disagreed with her account.
“She said I was very dismissive,” Hughley stated in the video. “Monique’s a liar. When Mo’Nique did call me, I heard her complaints. I listened to her, and I pulled the segment. So, if I had been as dismissive as she alleges I was, that segment would have aired. It didn’t because I respected her wishes. She’s a liar.”
Later in the video, Hughley delved into his recent conflict with Mo’Nique, which began with a contract disagreement and escalated when she criticized his handling of his daughter’s sexual assault allegation.
“This broad even brought out my daughter’s personal trauma,” Hughley continued. “My daughter was molested, and Monique bought that sh*t out and told the world that I allowed my daughter to be raped in front of me. The lying muthafucka.”
Hughley claims that Mo’ “knows she was lying,” and only stopped when his family members “checked her.”
