Authorities in Los Angeles are investigating a shocking discovery involving pop and alternative singer d4vd.
As you know, a heavily decomposed human body was found inside his Tesla at a Hollywood impound lot.
The Los Angeles Police Department notified d4vd of the discovery on Monday. TMZ reports that after checking the vehicle’s license plates, officials confirmed it belonged to the 20-year-old musician.
Police have confirmed that the body is not connected to him, and he is unharmed. d4vd is actively cooperating with investigators as they work to determine how the body ended up in the car.
At this time, it is not clear whether the vehicle had been stolen before being impounded. The Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, and d4vd has stated that he was unaware the car had been towed. Authorities are treating the matter as a death investigation while they gather more information.
The discovery occurred amid d4vd’s ongoing world tour for his debut album, WITHERED. The tour began on August 5 and is set to conclude on November 4 in Warsaw, Poland.
The singer learned about the incident after performing in Madison, Wisconsin on September 7. Despite the unsettling news, he continued his scheduled performances, including a show in Minneapolis later that same day.
d4vd has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident, but sources confirm he is safe and fully cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation unfolds.
