Singer-songwriter D4vd is now being viewed as a suspect in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the teen’s body was discovered in a decomposed state inside the front trunk of a Tesla registered to him.
While there is no official paperwork classifying him as a suspect, sources confirm that authorities are treating the case as a homicide and believe the way the body was found points to possible involvement by more than one person.
Investigators are also reviewing D4vd’s movements from earlier this year. One source mentioned an overnight trip to a remote part of Santa Barbara County in spring 2025, though the reason that trip is relevant to the case remains unclear.
The Tesla was found abandoned near D4vd’s Hollywood Hills rental, which police searched for blood evidence. Surveillance footage and other material from the property are reportedly in the hands of investigators.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner has not yet determined a cause or manner of death. Toxicology results are pending, and the LAPD has stated they are not close to making an arrest.
D4vd’s team has yet to issue a statement.
