Daddy Yankee Opens Reggaeton Museum In Puerto Rico

Rapper-songwriter and record producer #DaddyYankee is opening a reggaeton museum in Puerto Rico that will be dedicated to his life and his music career.

The Daddy Yankee El Jefe Museum opened Friday in the island’s largest mall, Plaza Las Américas.

For just free-ninety-nine guests will learn about the history of reggaeton, which started in 1991, as well as the artist’s accolades, business ventures, and memorabilia. The museum was built within an 8,000 square feet (743 square meters) building and will be open through January.

Yankee made the announcement Thursday in an Instagram post. He recently set a record at the Coliseo of Puerto Rico with 10 shows scheduled in December.
