Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Has Been Ordered To Submit A Paternity Test In His Recent Legal Case

Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, has been ordered to take a paternity test in the latest lawsuit filed against him.

Alexandra Davis recently filed a lawsuit against Jones, claiming to be his daughter. Davis initially filed the lawsuit in March but it was dismissed.

However, she later filed the lawsuit again to “compel Mr. Jones to submit to DNA testing in order to prove that Mr. Jones is her father.”

In the original lawsuit, Davis claims Jones paid her and her mother hundreds of thousands of dollars to remain a secret. She also asked to be recognized as Jones’ daughter and released from the confidentiality agreement that her mother signed when she was a baby.

Jones’ attorneys has requested the lawsuit to be dismissed due to the 192nd Judicial District court not having jurisdiction over paternity cases.

“This Court cannot assert jurisdiction over unripe claims and [Davis] cannot create it via her suit for declaratory relief,” Jones’ lawyers wrote in the filing. “Accordingly, this Court should dismiss [Davis’] claims with prejudice.”

They also added that Davis sent Jones a copy of the lawsuit before she filed it and “asked whether he would like to ‘make a deal’ to ‘assure that he would not be publicly or privately identified and/or declared as [Davis’] father.’”

Jones denied the deal and the lawsuit was filed shortly after. Nevertheless, Jones’ legal team is expected to appeal the judge’s paternity test ruling.
