How would Adrian Peterson look in Cowboy blue?

The Minnesota Vikings running back is considering a few different cities to finish out his career if he decides to leave the North Star State. While he has already mentioned Houston, Tampa Bay and New York as options, it’s NFL Sources believe that Dallas may be another option for the potential free agent.

Sources say, if the Vikings and the veteran cannot come to a consensus on a revised contract, Peterson can be on his way to Dallas to suit up with the Cowboys. Which wouldn’t be a surprise, since the seven-time Pro Bowler expressed interest in the Dallas team sometime ago. Apparently, the interest was mutual, according to ESPN, as owner Jerry Jones professed a similar interest in 2014.

The Vikings have until the beginning of next month to restructure a deal with the 2012 MVP. If the Minnesota team decides to stick with Peterson, he could reel in $11.75 base salary, plus a $6 million roster bonus that he would get by the third day of the league year, which begins March 9.

On the other hand, the Cowboys already have a star running back in Ezekiel Elliot, who helped the Cowboys secure the best record in the NFC in 2016.

What are your thoughts?
