Damar Hamlin experienced a cardiac arrest on January 2, 2023, during a Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. Remarkably, Hamlin made a stunning recovery, earning the 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year title after participating in five games and securing one tackle for the season.
Despite his inspiring return, social media commentary critiqued Hamlin’s performance level. Former NFL Wide Receiver Antonio Brown unexpectedly added to the commentary today, prompting Hamlin to address the disrespect on Twitter.
In response to Brown’s tweet, Hamlin called him a ‘burnt out old head,’ expressing disappointment in Brown’s behavior. He noted his past admiration for Brown, especially since Brown had just reached out to him the previous Monday.

Hamlin then showed DM’s of Brown ‘talking to himself,’ waiting for a response from Hamlin. Brown still has not responded, however, I am sure Brown will say something real soon.
Check out the tweets from Hamlin below.
