Damar Hamlin has marked the first anniversary of his terrifying cardiac arrest with a new tattoo.
The Buffalo Bills safety tatted a pair of hands, shaped like a heart, on the back of his neck. The inside of the heart features an electrocardiogram to commemorate the incident.
Hamlin got the new ink from tattoo artist Alexander Brenes twelve months after he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest during a football game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2, 2022.
The 25-year-old often threw up the heart hands during his recovery process. Hamlin took a pic with Brenes and even left a comment on Brenes’ Instagram page as well.
“On behalf of my family and I, thank you for being an important part of this incredible journey, Hamlin wrote on his fundraiser page to mark the one-year anniversary.
