The Chicago Bears, leading into the NFL Combine, are widely regarded as the team with the most confusing outlook during the off-season. A lot of decisions must be made for the Bears, such as if they’re going to stick with their franchise quarterback in Justin Fields or if they’re going to start over and take one of the promising college QBs entering the NFL Draft.
The Washington Commanders are reportedly ready to make an irresistible offer to the Chicago Bears for their top pick. Recently, Washington hired Kliff Kingsbury as their offensive coordinator, which led to Trent Williams congratulating him on Instagram. Since Williams is from the D.C. area, there is speculation that he might be returning to play for Washington. On the Pat McAfee Show, Dan Orlovsky stated that the Chicago Bears would be making a mistake by not selecting one of the franchise-altering quarterbacks available.
He was asked if he would take Fields or Caleb Williams, and his response took co-hosts by surprise.
“If I am Chicago the more I’ve gotten away from this season, the more Quarterback becomes the right choice at one,” the former NFL Quarterback responded and said. “You trade Justin for one as much as you can get. I lean Caleb right now. Caleb’s natural throwing ability and play-making ability is going to be so unique.”
We still have so much time leading up to the NFL Draft on April 25 that there will be a lot of rumors until facts are released. We just have to wait and see how entertaining this NFL off-season gets.
