It appears that the Tupac Shakur story, “All Eyez On Me,” is moving onward. Filming for the Benny Boom directed biopic began last month in Atlanta. Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. plays the lead role of Tupac Shakur and now we learn that actresses Danai Gurira & Kat Graham have been added to the cast.Â
Danai Gurira, who is best known for the blade wielding zombie killer Michonne in AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” will take on the role of Tupac’s mother (and executive producer of the film) Afeni Shakur.  Afeni was a political activist, philanthropist and member of the Black Panthers organization.Â
Kat Graham, who can currently be seen on CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,”  joins the cast of “All Eyez On Me” as none other than Jada Pinkett, a woman that was very, very close to Tupac Shakur’s heart. Pinkett and Shakur were high school classmates at the Baltimore School for the Arts and remained friends up until Tupac’s passing.Â
As we’ve previously mentioned, Jamal Woolard, who played the Notorious B.I.G in the 2009 film “Notorious,” will be returning as the heavy weight legend in “All Eyez On Me.”Â
