Daniel “Boobie” Gibson Turns Himself In On Second Degree Battery Charges

Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, husband of Keyshia Cole and formerly of the Cleveland Caveliers is facing second-degree battery charges in New Orleans. 

Details regarding the incident are scarce but sources say Gibson was involved in an altercation that took place during the Essence Festival held in New Orleans July 4-7. His wife Keyshia performed the main stage at the festival on July 6th. Gibson was released from custody at 11:09 AM local time. 

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, reports do NOT say that Keyshia Cole was the victim in this matter. In fact, if she were this would be a domestic violence case and not second degree battery. Plus, Keyshia performed with Boobie during Essence and was photographed with him, all smiles, no bruises.  I suspect someone got drunk on Bourbon Street and got into a fight. The story is still developing so we’ll see.
