DaniLeigh Announces the Death of Her Father Days After Revealing His Cancer Diagnosis

Just days after DaniLeigh asked fans to pray for her father, Vladimir Curiel, the singer has revealed he passed away. 

On Tuesday, the “Easy” vocalist shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram Story, revealing that he’d lost his battle with cancer. 

“The way he passed with his kids and wife praying over him and telling our goodbyes as he took his last break just shows me how God opened his arms wide open to welcome him into heaven,” she wrote in a lengthy statement. 

In the emotional post, DaniLeigh expressed her deep love for Curiel, whom she said was loved by all and made sacrifices to support his family. She further paid tribute to him with several memories of their time together and photos that showed his bond with her daughter, Velour. In another video, she showed herself caring for her ailing father. Curiel often supported DaniLeigh at shows and other appearances at the height of her career. 

DaniLeigh, whose real name is Danielle Curiel, opened up about her father’s illness last week, asking her followers to lend their prayers to him. It’s unknown how long he’d been battling the illness. Unfortunately, it appears that it might have been for a while before being made public.
