A Connecticut man who used the #Tinder dating app to prey on women before raping and abusing them is now blaming the voices in his head for the reason he murdered one of his dates.

Danueal Drayton was arrested last week in Los Angeles after being accused of sexually assaulting, strangling, and holding a woman, who he says he met in an Uber, hostage in her Hollywood apartment. He pled not guilty to the charges but later stated that he remembers strangling the woman.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, in an interview with New York’s Daily News Drayton has admitted to murdering another woman, Samantha Stewart, a 29-year-old nurse, in her Queens apartment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Drayton says he went on a date with Stewart, before taking her back home and strangling her to death. According to the 27-year-old, he didn’t want to kill her.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I really liked her. I didn’t want to kill her,” he said. “They told me she had to die.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Drayton went on to say that he tried to resuscitate her, and continued to blame the voices in his head for the murder he committed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I wanted to get caught,” he said. “I took some of her things with me and used them. I kept my same phone. I knew they could track it. I didn’t know how long it would take.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since his arrest, Drayton has admitted to seven murders, according to the Daily News.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“If you look at the body of work, what just took place, it’s not much of a stretch, unfortunately, to think that there are going to be other victims,” New York Police Department Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea told The New York Times. “We need those victims. We need them to come forward for a lot of different reasons.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Drayton has also been linked to at least one other rape in New York and was previously arrested for choking his ex-girlfriend.
