Southern University honors David Banner with his own day at the school of business.
On Thursday, the Mississippi native received his own day, now known as Lavell Crump Day, from Southern University and A&M College.
Banner posted a picture of him holding the official proclamation and says, “This almost got a year out of me!!!”
In addition, the proclamation also reads that a scholarship named after Banner will be “executed” in fall 2023.
Banner recently teased his involvement with the university, which is his alma mater, with an Instagram post of the university’s logo. He was also seen having a conversation on the campus about how to communicate “elders” about legal marijuana and its benefits.
