Afrobeats superstar Davido is honoring his late son with a pricy pendant that depicts the child’s face.
Celebrity jeweler Gabriel Jacobs of Rafaello & Co. created the piece of three-year-old Ifeanyi, and it is extremely detailed. The diamond-encrusted face includes a crown of flowers made of diamonds, opal, topaz, and citrine, which are the birthstones of the late toddler Davido and his wife, Chioma. The face was constructed using natural brown, champagne, and black diamonds. Jacobs told TMZ that Davido’s latest piece weighs 60 carats and cost a whopping $250,000.
Ifeanyi passed away on October 31st, 2022, at Davido’s and Chioma’s Banana Island home. The parents were on a trip at the time, and the child was being looked after by caregivers when he fell into a pool and drowned. A nanny, cook, and several other domestic staff members were brought in for questioning after his death. It has been reported that the nanny is the primary focus of the investigation, as she was allegedly not watching Ifeanyi when he wandered into the water. A year later, in October 2023, the couple welcomed twins, a boy and a girl. Davido also has another son named Dawson, who lives in London with his mother, a woman named Larissa London. It is reported that Davido has six children in total.Â
