Cody Longo, an actor on Days of our Lives, Nashville, Hollywood Heights, and Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, has died at the age of 34.
The actor was found on Wednesday morning and died in his sleep from accidental alcohol poisoning. Representative, Alex Gittleson, confirmed Longo was at his home in Austin, Texas.
“Cody was our whole world,” his wife, Stephanie Clark, said in a statement. “The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated. He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.
Gittleson said, “Cody was a dear friend, going back many years before he was a client. My heart breaks for his amazing wife and kids. He had taken some time away from acting to pursue his music career and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly, and he was excited to get back into acting this year.”
He continued, “Cody was such a loyal, loving, and talented person, and he will be greatly missed.”
Longo had a resume of successful shows, from staring in the Bring It On franchise, playing Milian’s love interest, to staring on TeenNick and Nick at Nite’s telenovela, Hollywood Heights in 2012.
He got his first big gig in 2008 when he appeared in Ball Don’t Lie. After, he played in Medium and Bring it On: Fight to the Finish. Before he got a coveted role on Days of Our Lives, he appeared in the gymnastics show, Make it or Break It.
He’s survived by three children and his wife Stephanie Clark.
