It’s official. The Real is officially over. After eight long seasons and a revolving door of new co-hosts, the show ends with its final season.
The Real premiered in 2013 with Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Jennie Mai, and Tamera Mowry. But an epic feud involving Tamar Braxton turmoiled the whole show because she was fired following reports she couldn’t get along with her colleagues.
After rumors speculating earlier this year, The Real is done.
Since Braxton’s and Mowry’s exit, the show has had multiple guests and attempted to replace the co-hosts two additional times. First with Amanda Seales, then with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Garcelle Beauvais. In March, Loni Love addressed the cancellation rumors, saying it was a rumor and hadn’t been confirmed yet. She also said she would be “ok, but please give grace to the 150 crew members.”
It’s been a busy few days but I got a call from the studio.. no official decision has been made about #TheReal …I will be ok but please give grace to the 150 crew members this may affect… we will finish Season 8 and wait for official word.

With the official news today, Loni Love says, “In the end The Real cast and crew did everything we could to scale the show down..We shot 7-8 shows in 3 days, no audience, made a conference room into a studio, but in my opinion Covid costs killed this show… it’s been a great ride and thanks to the viewers for 8 great seasons.”
