With this week’s big announcement that Batman’s sidekick, Robin, has come out as bisexual, the granddaughter of the creator of the superheroes thinks it’s a significant step in the right direction.
According to TMZ, actress Dana Wheeler-Nicholson, the granddaughter of Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson, the man credited with creating DC Comics, says she is thrilled about the latest plot twist in the superhero’s legacy.
Dana told TMZ she loves the news that Robin is bisexual because having a beloved character come out helps promote tolerance and inclusion in the real world.
She also told the news outlet that she hopes her late grandfather would’ve accepted Robin’s big announcement as well.
