Rapper and YouTuber DDG is beating the Illuminati allegations by any means necessary.
Fresh off the drama between himself, his ex-lover Rubi Rose and new sweetheart Halle Bailey, the influencer faces another set of allegations. Only this time, instead of cheating, the internet is accusing DDG of selling his soul to the devil. These rumors have run rampant for at least two years, with several videos popping up on YouTube accusing him of joining the Illuminati in order to obtain his riches.
On Thursday, the “Moonwalking” rapper shared a screenshot of a message he received from a concerned fan. The person wrote a lengthy monologue in the DM, accusing the 25-year-old of being in cahoots with Satan.
“I’m a follower of Christ. Don’t say you didn’t, I know,” the person wrote. They told DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., that no amount of worldly goods would bring him peace.
In his Instagram Story post showing the odd interaction, DDG rejected the notion that supernatural forces were at play in his success.
“I promise y’all I did not ‘sell my soul.’ It’s 2023. Just because n****s got money don’t mean they worship the devil or whatever,” he wrote.
The famed internet personality, who has amassed nearly 6 million IG followers, is not the only prominent artist to be accused of entering the demonic organization. Jay-Z and Beyoncé have faced similar allegations for much of their careers. Rihanna, Future, 2Chainz, Dess Dior, and Pusha T are just a handful of popular figures who’ve also endured such unfounded claims.
DDG is not here for any of the dark energy surrounding his name.
