Rapper DDG just hit a legal roadblock after trying to block Halle Bailey from taking their son, Halo, overseas. On June 4th, he filed for an emergency restraining order, claiming she posed a psychological and emotional risk to their child. However, the court wasn’t convinced, and his request was denied.
Halle, who was previously granted a temporary restraining order against DDG in May for alleged abuse, is heading to Italy with Halo for a film project. DDG’s filing, aimed at stopping the trip, included serious accusations. He alleged Halle had endangered herself and their son on multiple occasions.
“In or about August 2023, during a particularly volatile argument, petitioner became enraged and threatened to end her life using my legally owned firearm. Without my consent, she took the weapon and left the house,” DDG claimed in court documents. He also said she sent him troubling texts suggesting harm to herself and their son.
In contrast, Halle’s earlier restraining order cited physical and emotional abuse. She claimed DDG once slammed her head into a steering wheel, frequently called her degrading names, and incited online hate against her.
She addressed her travel plans in her court filing: “I have family and a nanny who will be traveling with me to care for Halo while I am working.”
The pair went public with their relationship in March 2022 and welcomed their son in December 2023. What was once a sweet love story has now turned into a custody and court battle.
