HMC Farms is recalling peaches, plums, and nectarines sold nationwide due to a listeria outbreak.
On Monday, it was reported that the outbreak has led to 11 illnesses, including one death and 10 hospitalizations.
In a food safety alert, the CDC stated, “investigators are working to determine if any additional fruit or products made with this fruit may be contaminated.”
According to the agency, Kingsburg’s HMC Farms is recalling peaches, plums, and nectarines sold between May 1 and November 15 this year, as well as during the same period in 2022. This recall comes after the FDA discovered listeria in an HMC Farms peach sample during late October testing.
