Reality star and entrepreneur Deelishis has seemingly confirmed that her niece was one of the victims of the Michigan State University mass shooting.
Deelishis, whose real name is Chandra Davis, shared a photo of her niece Arielle early Tuesday morning. In the caption, she revealed that the young woman was in a classroom that was in the same building where 43-year-old Anthony McRae opened fire Monday night. The deranged man reportedly fired shots inside both Berkey Hall and the MSU Union. Deelishis said the family had not yet heard from Arielle and asked her followers to keep them lifted in prayer.
Fans became even more concerned when Deelishis pinned a comment underneath the post that alluded to the worse.
“My sweet beautiful niece…RIP baby girl,” read the comment.
On Arielle’s Instagram profile, there were many comments saying rest in peace and sending condolences to her.
Police are still working to determine a motive for the shooting that claimed the lives of three people dead, though that death toll could rise, as five victims remain hospitalized. All were students of Michigan State. McRae has no apparent affiliation with the school. Four victims required surgery for their injuries. McRae died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound as police closed in on the scene. A firearm was recovered.
Let’s continue to keep Deelishis and every victim of this senseless shooting in our thoughts and prayers.
