Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds Call It Quits After More Than A Decade Together, 4 Years Engaged

After being together for more than a decade, Tracey Edmonds and Deion Sanders have decided to end their relationship.

Tracey Edmonds took to her Instagram to announce the end of her relationship with Sanders with a picture of the two captioned with:

“To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love…

We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together. Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH! 🙏🏽❤️ Tracey and Deion.”

Edmonds and Sanders met in 2012 at party for a movie that she was producing. The two didn’t connect again until months later during a business meeting. “It was a blessing for my life,” Sanders told PEOPLE of meeting Edmonds, whom he describes as a “classy, professional and a real woman.”

In 2012, the couple got engaged. Edmonds shared the news with social media.

“Happy Valentine’s Day Fam! Sending LOVE to MY LOVE/MY FIANCÉ  @deionsanders! ❤️💍,” she captioned a snap of her and Sanders smiling. “God is SO GOOD! We’re 8 years in, made it through the storms TOGETHER, and will be spending the rest of our lives TOGETHER!”

Edmonds concluded the post with advice to couples: “To all the couples out there… stay REAL with each other, LISTEN to each other, and MOST of all.. keep LOVE and GOD in your heart. When you do, you can make it through ANY storm! Spread LOVE and JOY on this day! ❤️”.
