Shilo and Shedeur Sanders could both very well leave their father in Boulder and enter their names in the NFL Draft next year. Deion has already made it clear that the boys will not be leaving. The NFL is not going anywhere, and when you have the transferable skills that can translate from Saturdays to Sundays. It’s not a rush.
Shedeur has opened a lot of eyes this season. In 2019, he was highly recruited out of high school by high major power five schools. He decided to follow his father to Jackson State and build his own legacy. With the talent he had, but the lack of attention given to him and his brother’s play due to their conference, the duo has come onto the power five scene with the Colorado Buffaloes and have shown that they are indeed some of the top percentile players in the country.
Through six games, he has almost a completion percentage of 73, throwing for 16 touchdowns and only two interceptions. One could argue if he had a better offensive line his numbers would be even better. Sanders has drawn comparisons to Seattle’s starting Quarterback Geno Smith and Tyrod Taylor. Some would say his ceiling is Deshaun Watson, possessing a strong arm while having the ability to make big plays.
Shilo Sanders has been doing everything he can this season to make sure his team is in the most winningest position. He has played through injury and has been one of the most consistent players on the Buffs’ defense. Averaging seven tackles through five games and a sensational interception returned for a touchdown, Sanders is very much a baller. He has a forced fumble so far on the season, and his tackling technique has me thinking he will force a few more this season. Someone who could find himself as one of the first safety’s off the board when he decides to enter the draft.
Deion was conversing with Rich Sanders, a scout from the Atlanta Falcons who was in attendance at practice. Well Off Media covers the Buffs’ practice and captures the interaction between the two. Coach Prime asked Scout, Sanders to repeat what he told him.”We ain’t coming back unless we bringing both the Sanders boys to the A.”
The Falcons don’t have a Quarterback and an inconsistent secondary, they could benefit from two Sanders boys being able to come in and make an impact. Do you think the Falcons should go all in on the Sanders duo?
