Delta is kicking off the year with a new look. The airline has a fresh onboard food and beverage cart.
Delta’s onboard food and beverage menu features the return of the signature Delta One dessert cart, espresso martinis, premium rosé wine, plant-based cheesesteaks, seasonally inspired items, and more.
“Your onboard meal or beverage should be no different than your go-to restaurant at home, and that’s why we’re constantly reinventing our onboard service at Delta – we always want to surprise and delight our customers with seasonal and fresh menu options,” said Kristen Manion Taylor, S.V.P. of In-Flight Service at Delta. “From delicious Spanish tapas plates to refreshing rosé, there is something new for everyone to enjoy.”
These add-ons are among the airlines’ extensive food and beverage program, which includes Du Nord Social Spirits; a variety of vegetarian menu options from Delta’s partnership with Impossible Foods; collaborations with three James Beard Award-winning chefs, and elevated onboard wine offerings with Imagery Estate Winery, led by award-winning female winemaker Jamie Benziger, the company’s website reads.
The revamp will include regional touches like traditional afternoon tea and tapas to pre-arrival menu selections. There will also be seasonal additions like comfort meals from favorite restaurants.
Customers departing from New York-JFK will now have the option to pre-select Questlove’s Cheesesteak. They can also enjoy Gramercy Tavern’s signature kielbasa with crushed fingerling potatoes, brussels sprouts, and Dijon mustard served with a marinated yellow beet salad with walnut pesto and ricotta.
Passengers from Los Angeles can enjoy Chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo’s chicken piccata with lemon caper sauce and Calabrian Caesar salad.
The airline is also bringing back its beloved Delta One dessert cart, which is offered on select international flights. Treats include plated desserts, fruit and cheese plates, and a build-your-own ice cream sundae. Passengers can satisfy their sweet tooth with items like opera cake with chocolate ganache and a vanilla ice cream sundae with a choice of toppings like whipped cream, cookie crumble, fruit compote, and chocolate chips.
LA FÊTE DU ROSE, a Black-owned premium rosé label produced by La Fête Wine Company from St.Tropez, will be offered on select Delta One flights as well.
Tip Top Espresso Martini teamed up with Counter Culture Coffee and has been available on Delta’s onboard cocktail partner since 2021. Starting this year, the brand will add more cocktail flavors in a rotational program. Passengers can expect to see their popular cocktail selections on select domestic and international flights starting in March. The beverages will be phased in as the year progresses and include classics like Tip Top’s Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini, Bee’s Knees, Negroni, and more.
