DeMar DeRozan Gets In Physical Altercation With Man Who Shoves a Phone in His Face [Video]

Things unfolded on Friday night as the six-time NBA All-Star was dining at a sushi restaurant. That’s when a man walked up to his table, phone in hand, flashing a bright light in his face while saying he was getting kicked out. DeRozan appeared startled and immediately shoved the phone away, confronting the man.

Footage shows the man, who goes by Denzel Kissmayoo, later on a stretcher with EMTs attending to him. His Twitter account @watchhereat posted, “I just Get Attacked & Body Slapped By DeMar DeRozan: Don’t Meet Your Hero’s Kids.” He also tagged @champagnepapi, adding, “I don’t think Drake will like this Behavior.”

A second video angle obtained by TMZ showed DeRozan allegedly putting the man on the ground. Once the man got up, he demanded his phone back, prompting DeRozan to swing on him again. Amid the chaos, a woman can be heard warning DeRozan, “He’s not worth it,” before the athlete walks away.

TMZ just dropped a footage of DeMar DeRozan getting into an altercation with a man at a Sushi restaurant.

Local authorities responded to the scene, and an investigation is now underway.
