Demi Lovato is demanding justice for E.T.! In a recent interview, Lovato revealed that they believe the term “aliens” should not be used when referring to extraterrestrials.
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer told an Australian outlet the term “aliens” is offensive, and humans should not be using the word, even as it pertains to out-of-this-world beings.
TMZ reports that while promoting their new docuseries, “Unidentified with Demi Lovato,” which documents the pop star and their crews’ quest to find out if Martians truly exist, Lavato told PEDESTRIAN.tv, “I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now. But, I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything,” they said. “That’s why I like to call them E.T.s! So yeah, that’s a little tidbit. A little information that I learned.”
We do know that there are instances when the word ‘alien’ is deemed offensive when referring to actual people, but not a being from outer space.
There’s been no word if Lovato actually got this insight from E.T. during an encounter, but yall let us know what term we can use instead of ‘aliens’ when referring to otherworldly beings?
