On Tuesday, Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. held a Q&A on Snapchat. When a viewer asked him if coronavirus was being exaggerated, he said it “is being used for population control.”
According to CNN, Porter said, “personally I think the coronavirus is being used obviously for a bigger agenda. It’s being used for population control in just terms of being able to control the masses of people. I mean, because of the virus, the whole world is being controlled.”
“You’re required to wear masks,” he continued. “And who knows what will happen when this vaccine comes out. You might have to have the vaccine in order to travel. Like that would be crazy.”
Elsewhere, Porter opened up about vaccinations, revealing that he has never in his life been vaccinated.
“I’ve never been vaccinated in my life. I’ve never had shots or anything like that,” the 22-year-old player said, despite the fact that Missouri’s website, where Porter played ball, shows that immunizations are required to attend.
It’s a real thing. But yes, it’s being overblown.”
The NBA season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic in March but is set to resume Thursday at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Denver will restart their season against the Miami Heat.
