Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is the latest athlete to join the Roc Nation Sports roster, supposedly against the wishes of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Bryant hired Roc Nation to handle upcoming deal talks between he and Dallas. He’s looking for a lucrative contract from Dallas being that he’s now in the final year of his rookie contract. Considering how well Roc Nation Sports has been handling business deals with their current clients, I can definitely see Dez getting the long end of the stick here. Plus, Dallas has the money and Dallas needs Dez.
Many speculate that Jerry Jones has been against Dez changing agents in fear that he would be convinced to leave franchise. Jay Z is a big Dallas Cowboys fan so I don’t believe that he will try to talk Dez into walking away — then again, business is business.
Dez Bryant was represented by agent Eugene Parker when he was drafted by the Cowboys in 2010 and in December 2011 he fired Parker for Drew Rosenhaus. Parker and Bryant reunited in August 2012.
