Legendary actor Dick Van Dyke sustained minor injuries from a car crash in Malibu, California, last week.
The single-car collision occurred on the morning of Wednesday, March 15. Upon arrival, officials found Dyke behind the wheel of a silver Lexus.
According to TMZ, the “Mary Poppins” actor told police that he crashed the 2018 Lexus LS 500 into a gate after he lost control of the wheel. He said his car slid on the slippery roads as a result of the city’s record rainy days.
Fortunately, the 97-year-old escaped with “minor injuries,” including a bloody nose, mouth, and possibly a concussion. But, according to the publication, he did not go to the hospital.
Now, as a result of the incident, officials have reportedly submitted a driving retest for the Hall of Fame actor, considering his age, TMZ reports.
