Did Mashonda Play The Game Or Get Played

Over the weekend Mashonda was spotted on the beautiful beaches of St. Barts. Alongside her, Swizz Beatz and his wife Alicia Keys. It seems that Mashonda has put the pettiness behind her and called  truce with Swizz new wife. After spending years referring to Alicia as a home wrecker who ruined her marriage, and even appearing on Love & Hip Hop in an empty house and dirty pool, we never thought we would see the day when Mashonda would eventually “get over it”. But judging by the photo above of Mashonda playing the willing third wheel, she has. Could this be an attempt to handle things like an adult or a calculated plan that backfired. 

From what we can tell by the photos taken in St. Barts we see that Swizz was there with at least one of his children. It’s unknown whether his child with Mashonda was on the trip. For arguments sake let’s assume he was. And even if he was, the photo above is quite embarrassing, considering what she’s been through before. Did she set herself up? Let’s look at the different scenarios. 

Let’s assume Mashonda had great intentions and wanted nothing more than for her exon to be included in his father’s St. Bart’s trip. Let’s say that it was a peace offering that she joined him. How much would it suck to be sitting within inches of the man you loved as he embraces another woman. A woman he cheated on you with. A woman that you spent a good portion of the last few years slandering because you were hurt. I mean, let’s face it — Mashonda was hurt, and rightfully so. Would you put yourself in a situation like that just to show you are the bigger person? If the shoe were on my foot, I personally would not have gone on the trip and if I did, I would have had my primary focus on my son and stayed my distance from Swizz and Alicia. I almost feel like it’s awkward that Swizz would kiss Alicia with Mashonda RIGHT THERE, which leads me into my second scenario.

Could Mashonda have had malicious intent when she decided to join Alicia and Swizz on their trip? Let’s face it, she very well could have sent their son alone. Swizz is capable of caring for his son. Could Mashonda’s whole purpose of coming along been for no other reason than to put a damper on Swizz and Alicia’s fun? To be honest, this wouldn’t be the first time someone has done something of the sort. She could have said “I’m going to come along and kill all their happiness” and it backfired when Swizz decided to show his wife PDA regardless. Why else would she subject herself to such embarrassment and awkwardness? 

In my personal opinion, I think that Mashonda may be trying to get over it but I must say that I wouldn’t have come on the trip and subject myself to seeing my ex all up on his next. There’s actually no really good reason for me to hang out with my ex and his wife, especially not after I’ve dragged her name through the mud. Either scenario leaves Mashonda looking played.
