Sean “Diddy” Combs is ready to take the stand in his ongoing sex trafficking case, according to his attorney Marc Agnifilo.
The 54-year-old music mogul, who faces serious charges including sex trafficking by force, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy, is “very eager to tell his story,” Agnifilo shared in a preview clip from TMZ’s new docuseries, The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, premiering Thursday on Tubi.
With footage from 2016 showing Combs allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, now circulating, Agnifilo admitted that Diddy’s testimony could be crucial, saying, “I don’t know that I can keep him off the stand.”
Combs, who has pleaded not guilty, remains on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail twice. His lawyer suggested that the case might be framed as part of a larger effort to “take down a successful Black man.”
Combs’ legal troubles began with a federal lawsuit filed by Ventura last November, accusing him of rape, sex trafficking, and long-term abuse. Since then, several other lawsuits with similar claims have followed, including a new case this week accusing him of drugging and rape.
