In a significant update in the ongoing legal saga surrounding Diddy, both his legal team and federal prosecutors have agreed on a formal timeline for sentencing. The agreement was revealed in a court letter filed earlier today by Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lead defense attorney. After weeks of debate over scheduling, the two sides have now locked in October 3, 2025 as the official date for the mogul to face sentencing.

This new date marks a shift in strategy for Diddy’s defense. His team had previously pushed for a much earlier sentencing date, hoping to expedite the court proceedings. However, they’ve now reversed course and agreed to the October timeline after ongoing negotiations with the prosecution.

The letter doesn’t just mention the sentencing date, it also lays out the full timeline for the legal steps leading up to it. According to Agnifilo, Diddy‘s defense team will file any post-verdict motions by July 30, 2025. The federal government will then have until August 20, 2025 to respond. These motions typically allow the defense to challenge aspects of the verdict or request reconsideration before the sentencing hearing.

With these dates locked in, Diddy’s case continues to move through the legal system in a structured and deliberate manner. October 3 will be the next major moment to watch, as all eyes turn to the courtroom for what could be a defining outcome in this high-profile case.
