Diddy Set To Receive The Icon Award At Apollo Theater’s Spring Benefit

Diddy is gearing up to receive another accolade this summer!

According to Revolt, the Bad Boy founder will be recognized with the esteemed Icon Award at Apollo Theater’s annual Spring Benefit.

The gala will highlight several notable individuals and entities. Along with Diddy, basketball icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will receive the Impact Award.

Additionally, Jonelle Procope, the CEO of Apollo, will be acknowledged for her twenty years of devoted service to the organization.

Finally, the indie eyewear manufacturer Warby Parker will be presented with the Outstanding Leadership in Innovation, Diversity, and Global Community award.

The event will also feature performances by MC Lyte, and DJ sets by Wyclef Jean and DJ D-Nice, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. Tickets for the gala are currently available for purchase, with all proceeds going towards The Apollo’s performing arts, education, and community initiatives, which benefit a total of 200,000 individuals every year.

Although Diddy has undoubtedly earned numerous awards and recognition, he also makes sure to celebrate others.

In an Instagram video posted earlier this month, DJ Khaled displayed his impressive new golf cart received from Diddy.

“Thank you @diddy love brother beautiful gift!!!!!!!” he wrote in the caption. “Grateful ! #LetsGoGolfing.”

Diddy wrote a separate post in which he commended Khaled’s golf skills and provided an explanation for his gift. He expressed his admiration for Khaled’s dedication to the sport, stating “I’m so proud of my brother @DJKhaled for all the work he’s putting in on the golf course.”

Additionally, he mentioned that he wanted to give Khaled a special present, saying “Enjoy my gift to you! I had to find the most stylish golf cart possible for my brother! This is not an ordinary golf cart!”
