Sean “Diddy” Combs is pushing back hard after being hit with a series of lawsuits on Monday. Diddy’s legal team is calling out Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents over a hundred individuals alleging misconduct, accusing him of prioritizing publicity over justice.
Diddy’s attorneys didn’t hold back in a statement provided to TMZ, labeling Buzbee’s tactics as a clear attempt to capture media attention. They referenced Buzbee’s promotional efforts, saying, “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity.” The Bad Boy Records founder’s legal team maintains their client’s innocence, stating firmly, “In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
Buzbee’s legal filings on Monday include six separate lawsuits, all alleging sexual misconduct by Diddy.
The Texas attorney, known for his high-profile cases, has hinted that more lawsuits could be on the horizon. Buzbee has even suggested that other celebrities may soon face similar allegations, although he has yet to provide specifics on potential additional defendants.
Meanwhile, Diddy is also preparing for an upcoming federal criminal trial in New York, where he faces separate charges. In that case, he has continued to assert his innocence. Diddy’s legal team is confident that the evidence will clear his name in both the federal case and these new lawsuits, which they see as a coordinated effort to damage his reputation.
