Diddy might be counting down his prison days, but freedom won’t be coming without conditions. The former hip-hop powerhouse is set to face five years of supervised release once his 50-month federal prison sentence ends, and the restrictions are anything but light.
Filed this week in court, the judgment outlines what’s ahead for Diddy. He must undergo outpatient treatment for both drug addiction and mental health issues. He’s required to take prescribed medication unless his doctor says otherwise. And he’s not just checking boxes; these programs are mandatory.
The judge also ordered him to participate in a domestic violence program, which follows the release of disturbing footage showing him assaulting Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel back in 2016. That moment has continued to shadow his legal downfall.
Along with treatment mandates, Diddy’s freedom comes with zero tolerance for weapons. He cannot own or have access to any firearms or explosive devices. That condition follows the discovery of guns with scratched-off serial numbers during raids on his homes in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.
Diddy was convicted of two counts of violating the Mann Act but dodged convictions for sex trafficking and racketeering. His legal team has requested that he serve time at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey, as Judge Arun Subramanian hopes to keep him close to New York City.
For now, he remains unassigned to a specific facility, but one thing is clear: when Diddy gets out, his life won’t just be different; it’ll be heavily monitored.
