A woman who recently sued Harvey Weinstein for rape also has a pending lawsuit against Diddy for a similar allegation.
Crystal McKinney, a model seeking justice for alleged past trauma, filed a suit against Weinstein, claiming he raped her and a friend during a 2003 meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park in New York. She says the encounter, arranged under the pretense of film industry opportunities, turned into a nightmare when Weinstein allegedly pressured them to his hotel room after a noisy nightclub chat. There, she alleges, he got them drunk, coerced them into sex acts, then raped them.
McKinney says she was introduced to Weinstein by a modeling executive who joked about her needing to sleep with him to get a movie role. Although unsettled by the remark, she went ahead, saying she hadn’t heard any warning signs about Weinstein’s reputation at the time.
In 2024, she also sued Diddy, claiming he assaulted her in a studio bathroom after allegedly drugging her with a spiked joint and alcohol during a Fashion Week party. Diddy has denied the allegations and moved to have the case dismissed due to expired legal timelines.
Weinstein’s lawyer has called her claims “fantastical” and questioned the timing of the suit, coming shortly after her filing against Diddy. Weinstein, meanwhile, faces a retrial after his original conviction was overturned due to procedural issues.
