Coca-Cola is bringing back a familiar flavor, but it won’t be easy to find.
Diet Cherry Coke is making a return this summer, just not everywhere.
The soft drink giant confirmed that Retro Diet Cherry Coke will be available starting mid-July, but only for a limited time and only at select retailers under the Kroger brand. That includes stores like Pick’n Save, Metro Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, and City Market.
First introduced in 1986, Diet Cherry Coke helped define soda trends in the late ’80s. It stuck around for decades before being quietly phased out, with newer options like Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cherry taking its place.
Now, the original formula is getting a second life. This re-release isn’t part of a national rollout. It’s not tied to any major campaign or wide distribution. It’s simply a quiet return of a drink that had its moment and still has loyal fans.
Coca-Cola says it’s a limited-time offering. Once it’s gone, there’s no promise it’ll come back again.
