“Diff’rent Strokes” star Todd Bridges has been granted a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend after the couple’s bad break-up took a turn for the worse.
According to The Blast, Bridges says he called it quits with Melissa Hill last month, but since then, he says she’s been on social media stalking him.
In court documents obtained by the publication, Bridges says Hill responded to the split by tweeting about him 8,000 times. He says she even made false accusations against him to ruin his opportunities for employment.
“This girl Melissa Hill is not telling the truth about anything it is so sad when you have to break it off with a person who just wants to argue all a time,” Bridges tweeted on July 8th. “So when I break it off she wants to tell lies on me it’s so sad that someone has to be this way.”
However, Bridges says things took a turn for the worse last week when Hill threatened him via voicemail, claiming she was going to “get” him, also implying that she would have one of her male friends attack him.
Two days later, according to the former star, a male friend of Hill’s called him and said he was going to come over to “take care of” him, which prompted Bridges to file a report.
As a result, the actor has been granted a temporary restraining order to keep Hill away from Bridges and his family, including his sister and his son. According to the publication, Hill was also ordered to stay 100 yards away from Bridges’ dog, as he believes his ex will “attack my dog if she’s not able to get to me. She could easily throw poisoned food over my fence.”
Bridges is due back in court later this month to transfer the TRO to permanent.
