Walt Disney World has announced that face masks would no longer be required at its Florida parks, becoming the third company this week.
On Tuesday, Disney World posted on its website that they “recommend” unvaccinated guests to continue wearing masks on transportation and inside theaters.
“Please note, face coverings are not permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water,” the message continued.
Visitors vaccinated against the coronavirus were not required to wear masks at the theme parks, but masks were necessary on transit such as the on-site monorail and bus system.
The park policy change comes only one day after the Biden administration abandoned its mask rule for airports, airlines, and other forms of transport in the wake of a Florida judge’s decision questioning federal guidelines.
