California’s Disneyland resort has announced a new after-hours Halloween celebration that’s inspired by Tim Burton’s 1993 animated musical dark fantasy, “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
September and October, Disneyland in California will kick off a brand new after-hours event with otherworldly attractions and new entertainment experiences hosted by Oogie Boogie, the gambling boogeyman at the center of ”The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
According to People, “Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party” sets up a premise where Oogie Boogie, a “monster of scare-e-monies,” releases onto the park a sea of classic Disney Villains like Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), the Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), and the Shadow Man (Princess and the Frog).
Party-goers will be able to buy Oogie Boogie-themed T-shirts, sweatshirts, and Mickey Mouse ears. The park will be selling Oogie Boogie-themed funnel cake fries and a neon green drink topped with dice glow cubes.
