Disneyland is organizing its inaugural “Pride Nite” event, to highlight the LGBTQIA+ community and those who support them.
Earlier this week, Disney revealed that its launching a “Pride Nite” event that’ll take place on June 13 and June 15th in Anaheim, California. The special occasion will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. with a 3-hour party. Then, a private party will take place starting at 9:00 p.m. and end at 1:00 a.m.

In addition, the theme park’s guests will be allowed to ride the attractions outside of regular operating hours. It was also revealed that the company is planning to release promotional items for the event that shows some of Disney’s popular characters wearing rainbow-patterned attire.
The announcement comes in the midst of Disney’s battle with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Recently, DeSantis shared that the state’s legislature was in the process of gaining control over Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.
According to DeSantis, the development agreement that Disney entered into will be invalidated by the legislature, which will also remove the state’s oversight of the area. Earlier this year, DeSantis signed HB 9-B, which eliminated the self-governance privileges of the Reedy Creek Improvement District and returned oversight to the state.
