Disney’s New Streaming Service To Create Series That Will Feature Iconic Villains

Disney’s new streaming service, Disney +, which is set to officially launch later this year, is creating a new series that will feature some of their well-known villains.

The show will be a scripted series called “Book of Enchantments” and will be based upon the Disney villains from their book series “Villians” by author Serena Valentino.

According to Variety, the series will feature Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty,” the Wicked Queen from “Snow White,” and the Beast From “Beauty and the Beast.”

Precise details about the show are scarce, but the production is expected to begin in 2020.

Disney has yet to give an exact date on when the streaming service itself will debut, but the company has already given the green light to produce a slew of shows, including a live-action “Star Wars,” a new “High School Musical,” and Marvel shows about characters from the Marvel Comic Universe.

Disney has already pulled all Marvel and Star Wars related films and shows from other streaming services, like Netflix, in anticipation of the release of their streaming service.
