Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks long-lasting beef isn’t over just yet, and the blogger is now taking a victory lap. The two have been feuding for years, and the “Off The Record” podcast host recently took another shot at Meek.
Akademiks took to his Livestream to take a jab at the Philly native. A while ago, Meek released his album Expensive Pain. During its first week, the album sold less than 90,000, which is a major decline from his past work.
With this becoming public news, Akademiks didn’t waste any time at taking shots at the rapper.
“I was praying for times like this for three years.”
During his live, the blogger stirs the pot a little more by comparing Meek to Drake. Akademiks alleges that Meek’s label dropped “hundred of thousands of dollars” into promo for the album because they knew Meek’s career was failing.
“Yo Roc Nation, how much y’all pay for this one? My sources say 10 bands…Y’all can say whatever, call me a Drake-Stan but Drake ain’t never paid for a post. Your label was spending thousands, hundreds of thousands on blogs because you know Ak wasn’t going to post you. So you gave like Shade Room 30 grand. You gave Mean Pages 50 or 40. You gave Say Cheese like 20. That’s just how it goes … You spent all that money, and you’re not going to hit 90,000. That’s sad.”
