DJ Envy, the New York radio personality, producer, and co-host of The Breakfast Club, recently celebrated his 43rd birthday. While it’s no secret that Envy is a car enthusiast, the recent unveiling of his newest prized possession is definitely one for the books. The lime green Porsche 918 Spyder has a maximum speed of 213 mph with 886 horsepower and goes from 0-60 mph in 2.3 seconds flat. Guests of the car reveal included Top Gear Porsche NJ, Rapper Fabulous, and Envy’s wife, Gia.
There are only 918 cars made of the 2015 whip, and only one of two have been created in the lime green color, at $1.5-1.7 million apiece.
According to his Instagram page, the unveiling was posted on his live, and in addition to the car, DJ Envy released a new music single, “Sittin In My Car,” featuring rappers Fabulous and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. To top off his birthday, Gia gifted Envy a stake in a minority-owned water company, Positivity Alkaline Water. His wife stated, “There are plenty of material gifts you can give your significant other that last for a moment, but I wanted to give a gift that lasts a lifetime, not just economically but socially in supporting black-owned businesses.” She continued, “We support what Positivity Alkaline Water has done for the community, and our investment represents a legacy for my husband and our family. Besides, it tastes great!”
