DMX’s posthumous album “Exodus” will reportedly feature Jay-Z and Nas on the same track.
On Thursday, Swizz Beatz and X’s team conducted a virtual listening party for the project with several DJs and other industry members, which gave an insight into the long-awaited album that DMX was working on before his untimely passing.
DJ Mr. Peter Parker, who was in attendance, confirmed on Twitter that the album features Alicia Keys, Usher, the Lox, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Griselda, and Nas, who is featured on two verses. He says that the music “brought me to tears,” while DJ G2 called the record with X, Hov, and Nas “epic.”
During his career, DMX has worked with both Jay-Z and Nas multiple times. X and Hov collaborated for “Blackout,” “It’s Murda,” and “Money, Cash, Hoes.” The Ruff Ryders frontman and Nas previously came together on “Life Is What You Make It” and “Grand Finale.”
Unfortunately, the project will not feature the highly anticipated DMX and Pop Smoke collab on the album due to an unknown issue.
“Exodus” will arrive on May 28th.
