New DMX Song “Been to War” From The Godfather of Harlem Soundtrack Released

A week after the untimely passing of rapper and actor DMX, a new song from the soundtrack of the Epix series “Godfather of Harlem” featuring the hip-hop star has been posthumously released.

Epic Records released the song entitled “Been to War” featuring DMX, Swizz Beatz and French Montana today.

The song’s lyrics speak to the events of the 1960s crime series, starring Forest Whitaker, with DMX rapping “I’ma march to the beat, I’m my own drummer/ Let’s get it on baby, we can go to war all summer/ I done been to jail, I done did numbers/ I donе been to Hell, I done been under.”

DMX died on April 9th at age 50.
