DMX’s fiancée has revealed that their youngest son Exodus, has been living with stage 3 kidney disease.
The rapper’s fiancée, Desiree Lindstrom, recently sat down with “It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper” podcast, where she shared the news.
“He still has stage 3 kidney disease, and I’m just continuing to keep his potassium down. He can’t eat no high-potassium foods,” Lindstrom says. “He goes to the doctor very often. I make sure that his creatinine levels are at the levels that they need to be to keep him stable.”
Lindstrom posted a clip to Instagram from the podcast on Friday, which happens to be the day after World Kidney Day.
“Exodus is an amazing child! Blessed to be his mother through this journey,” Lindstrom captioned the post. “March is the month that brings awareness to kidney disease. Take the time to learn about CKD [chronic kidney disease]. Knowledge is key. Thank you for the support @nationalkidneyfoundation and #columbiapresbyterianhospitalnyc. Prayers are much appreciated!”
Exodus is Lindstrom and DMX’s only child together and welcomed their son in 2016. Lindstrom was engaged to the rapper before his untimely death in April 2021 from a drug overdose.
