Fans of actor Mark Wahlberg can get ready to catch the ‘Ted’ star on the small screen soon, as HBO Max has ordered an eight-episode docuseries about his life and career.
According to the mega streaming service, each of the eight episodes “will follow Wahlberg as he navigates his expansive business portfolio, spanning all sectors of commerce ranging from a line of activewear, all-natural, high-performance sports nutrition supplements, television and film production companies, and even a Chevrolet dealership.”
The show will not only highlight Wahlberg and his successes but will also showcase “life lessons” learned through the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur.
“We’re documenting the ups, the downs, the hits, and the misses. It’s all the real stuff that’s happening while I’m growing my businesses,” Wahlberg said in a statement. “We’re pulling back the curtain, and hopefully, it’s an opportunity to inspire other entrepreneurs.”
Production on ‘Wahl Street’ began in December, and there is no current word on a release date for the series.
However, according to Entertainment Weekly, HBO Max guarantees that the series will introduce viewers to “the cast of colorful characters that make up Wahlberg’s real-life entourage.”
Wahlberg is set to executive produce the project along with Stephen Levinson, Archie Gips, and Liz Bronstein.
