Does having a child change a boy into a man? Let’s ask the fathers of Megaa, Royalty, Future, Bash, and King. Most of the fathers of these baller babies have somewhat put their extreme lifestyles on pause to take time to father their child. Sometimes life needs to give a man a good smack in the face before he realizes that he needs to stop playing games and get his life together. The perfect example of this is when a man has a child.
For example, when Chris Brown decided to step up and father his baby Royalty, we saw an entire new side of the usual overly free-spirited R&B singer. He cleaned up his act (for the most part), he started setting a good example for the baby girl, and from Instagram’s point of view, spends a lot of time making sure Royalty is happy and has everything she needs.
Do you see how having a child can change a man’s demeanor?
I’m not saying go get knocked up so your man will act right, but a baby is definitely a game changer when it comes to a relationship. Think about it. There can be a handful of reasons why a man gets it together and for the most part, it’s for the better.
Here are two reasons why a man may change his attitude when his baby is born:
He wants to set a good example
Everyone wants to set a good example for their child. You want to be your child’s superhero, your child’s go-to person, and exactly who they inspire to be. This starts with bettering yourself and doing the right thing. Since children see and repeat everything, it may be your man’s bright idea to stop doing the reckless things he once did and set example for his child. His brain shifts from the “boy mentality” to the “man mentality” he needs to raise his kid.
His father wasn’t around
If your man’s father wasn’t around when he was growing up, there may be a good chance that he will do everything in his power to change that with his newborn. Sometimes a single parent can raise a child just fine, but there’s nothing wrong with a little help. Here comes your man. Instead of being a dead beat like his father, he changes the game by being there for his babies first time walking, teaches them how to drive, and is there to spy on their first date. That man mentality is really kicking in.
Of course having a baby isn’t the main reason a boy should want to become a man, but it’s a great starting point. Realizing that they are in charge of entire life can really turn on a lightbulb and make them want to do better for themselves and set example to the new edition the family.
